Week 7 Progress
- Hypnospace Outlaw (XGP) – 10%
- Metro 2033 Redux (XGP) – 100%
- Quantum Break (XGP) – 40%
- Tell Me Why Chapter Two (XGP) – 100%
What can I say? Hypnospace Outlaw on paper was good choice. An artistic vision, with unique gameplay and–yeah, so read some reviews for this title and you’ll quickly realize if this game is for you. I enjoyed the humor and waves of nostalgia from Hypnospace for a whole thirty minutes before calling it quits. Be sure to note that if you are a fan of traversing 90’s style web browser tabs, this is most definitely your game. If you want a tactile, engaging experience, please look elsewhere. I’m done with this one.

Metro 2033 Redux had a largely more engaging second half, and I’ve confirmed that I’ll have to play through Last Light and Exodus at some point in the future. This is a much more serious story than the Fallout series and gameplay is immersive, despite being so very linear.
Quantum Break is exactly what I hoped it would be, and the story is engaging enough to push me through completion this upcoming week.

Tell Me Why Chapter Two continued the great character-driven drama from the first, answering a few questions and posing a couple new ones along the way. I’m really looking forward to finishing the story on Thursday. It will be bittersweet.

WEEK 8 – September 8th – Sept 14th
LEGEND: XGP=XBOX GAME PASS, XGWG=XBOX GAMES WITH GOLD, NS=NINTENDO SWITCH, NSO=NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE, PC=PC
*Added estimated time remaining to completion*
- Bad North: Jotunn Edition (XGP) – 6 hrs
- Drake Hollow (XGP) – 12 hrs
- Quantum Break (XGP) – 5 hrs
- Tacoma (XGP) – 3 hrs
- Tell Me Why Chapter Three (XGP) – 3 hrs
- CASUAL – Fall Guys (PC)
This looks like a lot at first, but I think completing four games this week is absolutely doable. Tacoma and Tell Me Why are an easy two-for-one punch I can finish in a night, while Quantum Break and Bad North will likely fill up the weekend. Drake Hollow is a brand new title that looks intriguing, fun, and maybe more of a casual title that I can stretch into next week as well. Inmost and A Short Hike are still on the docket for upcoming weeks, but I need to make sure to complete some of these oldies before enjoying them.
